What is Refer-a-Friend?

To thank you for filing your taxes with us, we’re giving you a unique code to share with your friends and family*. Each time they use our online tax software to NETFILE their returns, you’ll get $10 and they’ll each get 10% off our Assistance or Protection package (to a maximum of $100)!

Note: For you to receive the $10, the person you refer will need to apply your unique code at checkout when they buy the Assistance or Protection package.

As soon as you NETFILE your return, you’ll see your Refer-a-Friend code on your dashboard:

  1. Click My Returns.

  2. Select See all my returns.

  3. Scroll to the bottom of the page, then in the My Account tile, select Refer-a-friend code.

Save 10% off the price of an ASSISTANCE or PROTECTION package when you use your Refer-a-Friend code. You can still do your taxes for free if you wish, but if you choose the FREE package, just make sure you enter your Refer-a-Friend code on the sales page so the friend who referred you will still get their credit.

How to use your code:

  1. Choose either the ASSISTANCE or PROTECTION package in the software (when prompted).

  2. Where you see a question asking if you have a coupon code, click Apply it now.

  3. Enter your Refer-a-Friend code in the Coupon code field.
