When can I NETFILE using H&R Block’s tax software?

The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) and Revenu Québec NETFILE and ReFILE services for tax year 2020 will open on February 22, 2021.

Note: NETFILE is closed for daily maintenance between 3:00 am and 6:00 am Eastern Standard Time.

Yes! You can complete a return for any of these years with our H&R Block tax software for that specific year.

The CRA and Revenu Québec have discontinued the NETFILE service for 2016 returns. For your 2016 tax return, you can use our H&R Block 2016 tax software to prepare your return but you won’t be able to file your return online with NETFILE; instead, you will need to print and mail the return to the CRA (and Revenu Québec, if applicable).
