How do I remove forms/pages from my return?

If you want to remove a form or page from your return in H&R Block’s 2020 tax software, follow these steps:

  1. Under the PREPARE tab, click the icon of the topic you wish to remove.

  2. When you arrive at the page for the topic, click the checkbox next to the form/page name to deselect it.



  3. If you entered information into the form/page, you’ll see the following warning message. When you see this message, click Yes, Delete.

Before you can remove a topic that you’ve added to your return, you’ll need to remove any forms or pages you’ve filled out under that topic (see steps above). Then, follow these steps:

  1. Under the PREPARE tab, click the IN THIS SECTION icon. You’ll find yourself here:



  2. Under the box of the topic you wish to remove, click the Remove This Topic button.



    3. Note: You can’t remove the COMMONLY CLAIMED, OTHER, or REQUIRED topics.
